Title: Operations Manager
Location: Middleton, TN (Onsite) 
Monday - Friday 7AM - 4PM (on call)
Duration: Full-Time

Essential Job Functions:

• Guides, organizes, and directs the hourly work force to meet or exceed all safety, operational and quality goals.
• Assures stationary and mobile equipment is operated properly in accordance with best practices.
• Long term planning including projects, process development, budgeting, and operational schedules.
• Training and maintenance of quality, safety, environmental, and health programs including audit and development activities.
• Plans and schedules operations in conjunction with maintenance in order to meet sales requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned

 
Must-haves

• Valid driver's license
• Physical ability to move throughout the plant and perform activities like climbing, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 pounds)

 
Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5 years of experience in an industrial production environment (or 7 years with a high school diploma or GED)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (especially Excel and Word)
• Solid background in Operations planning programs (like JD Edwards)
• Leadership skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with various personalities

 
Preferred or Nice-to-have Skills

• Engineering background in a manufacturing setting
• Experience as an Operations Supervisor in a similar field

 
Years of Experience: 
At least 5 years (with a bachelor’s degree) or 7 years (with a high school diploma or GED)
 
Industry Experience: 
Industrial production environment, preferably in mining or operations supervision
 
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience) Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with additional experience
