Program Manager, Senior
Location: Oakland, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Note that the expectation is that this job will be worked every weekday for 2-5 hours.
*Client laptop will be provided
**LOCAL CANDIDATES AND/OR AT LEAST IN-STATE in CA ONLY** . The role will be mostly remote, but will be invited to join monthly meetings at OGO. TBD if/when the department will enforce a higher rate of in office attendance.
Position Summary
Client is seeking a highly motivated and capable part-time Assistant Program Manager for our Meter Adapter Program.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate clearly with customers who have questions with a focus on collaborative problem solving and maintaining positive interactions.
• Track and follow up on numerous inquiries and escalations.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal partners.
• Oversee the application process and address exceptions or escalations that arise in daily processing.
• Assist in improving current processes and building formal processes and procedures for this new and evolving program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
• A love of customer service paired with a willingness to learn new programs and platforms and a positive and collaborative attitude.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail. This is essential to job success.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to clearly articulate technical details. Technical background not required, but a willingness to learn is.
• Strong critical thinking and problems solving skills including the ability to apply technical standards to customer inquiries and lessons learned to IT platform bugs.
• Ability to retain and build on program knowledge and insights.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in customer service or customer escalations or a demonstrated commitment to customers.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm about the services being offered to customers through this program
• Demonstrated ability to manage processes and keep track of multiple moving pieces at once.
• A desire to learn something new, take ownership, and make the program better for client and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
