Position Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Work Location: Newark (onsite only)
Assignment Duration: One-year contract with potential for conversion to FTE within twelve months (based on business need, budget approval, and performance)
Work Schedule: 1st shift hours are 6:00 am – 2:30 pm with potential for overtime as needed
Work Arrangement: Onsite only
Position Summary:

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities to ensure production meets all area requirements.

Work with engineers on set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing related to parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.

Use programs to collect and evaluate operating data and conduct on-line adjustments.
-
Follow all operating procedures to the highest standard.
-
Collaborate with manufacturing associates, engineering, quality, and leadership to execute production requirements.
-
Support engineering experiments and operational improvements.
-
Participate in improvement teams and may help develop manufacturing control methods.
-
Learn job skills and company procedures to complete routine tasks.
-
Receive detailed instructions and perform routine assignments requiring limited independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and promote a safe work environment and react to any unsafe situation.

Meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Operate and troubleshoot complex equipment.
-
Meet standard production cycle times.
-
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for equipment calibration.

Apply basic knowledge of test equipment.
-
Report non-conformances and complete NCEs as appropriate.
-
Ensure all processes meet Quality Standards.
-
Participate in root cause investigations.
-
Work independently within training scope; partner with senior technician or Team Lead for decision making.

Participate in managed daily improvement process.
-
Maintain and execute 5S within work area.
-
Complete training and maintain accurate records.
-
Conduct and record inventory transactions.
-
Process work orders in Oracle.
-
Use Oracle and Agile systems for documentation.
-
Maintain regular, punctual attendance and adhere to schedule, including overtime as needed.
Physical Demands:

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and manual dexterity.
-
Lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
-
Exposure to moving parts, vibration, moderate noise, hazardous chemicals (IPA, acetone, metals).

Use PPE for safety.
-
Exposure to high voltage electronics, radiation, and clean room/dark room environments.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
-
0–1 year of experience.
Skills:
Required:

Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive).

Ability to read and follow written procedures.

Effective written and verbal communication.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

English reading/writing proficiency.
-
Teamwork and self-motivation.
