Job Description
Position Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Work Location: Newark, DE 19702 (Onsite only)
Assignment Duration: One-year contract with potential for conversion to full-time within twelve months (based on business need, budget approval, and performance)
Work Schedule: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (with potential overtime as needed)
Work Arrangement: Onsite only
Position Summary:

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities to ensure production meets area requirements.

Collaborate with engineers on setup and calibration, perform rework and quality testing of parts, components, and assemblies.

Use advanced software to collect and evaluate data for adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
-
Follow operating procedures to the highest standard while working with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and leadership teams.

Support engineering experiments and improvement initiatives.
-
Participate in improvement teams and help develop better manufacturing methods.
-
Learn company procedures to perform routine tasks under supervision; limited independent judgment and decision-making.

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment.

Consistently achieve standard cycle time.

Read and interpret schematics/blueprints for calibration accuracy.

Apply basic test equipment knowledge.

Report all non-conformances and complete NCEs.

Follow all Quality Standards.

Participate in root cause investigations using troubleshooting tools.

Work independently on routine tasks within training scope.
-
Make limited process decisions, partnering with senior technicians when needed.

Participate in daily improvement processes.
-
Maintain and execute 5S (organization and cleanliness) within work area.

Complete all training and maintain training records.
-
Conduct accurate inventory transactions.
-
Process work order transactions in Oracle.
-
Retrieve documentation via Oracle and Agile systems.
-
Maintain regular attendance and support overtime needs.
Physical Demands:
-
Sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Lift/carry products up to 40 pounds.
-
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moderate noise.
-
Exposure to hazardous materials (IPA, acetone, selenium, chrome). PPE provided.

Exposure to high-voltage electronics, radiation, and work in clean/dark rooms.
Qualification & Experience:
-
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s preferred)
-
Experience: 0–1 years in manufacturing or similar setting
