Job Description

Position: Project Coordinator (Contract) – Core Modernization
Location: New York, New York 10010 - Local Preferred but remote is an option for the right candidate.
Duration: 12 Months assignment

Program Overview
The Core Modernization program is a multi-year initiative focused on implementing a new Policy Administration System (PALI), migrating newly written agent business to the platform, and enabling long-term growth through streamlined operations and improved service experiences.

Role Summary
The Project Coordinator will provide tactical support to the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and program leaders. This hybrid role requires in-office presence for key planning, governance, and working sessions, with flexibility to work remotely on other days. The coordinator will focus on execution and organization, ensuring effective governance, clear communications, and smooth operation of Agile ceremonies and delivery tracking.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate logistics, materials, and follow-up for Program Increment (PI) Planning, governance forums, and working sessions
• Track and manage action items, risks, issues, and decisions to ensure accountability and timely closure
• Support backlog tracking, dependency management, and delivery oversight using Jira and program Kanban boards
• Prepare agendas, minutes, decision logs, and action trackers for TMO and leadership meetings
• Consolidate Jira data into dashboards and reports to track program performance
• Maintain program knowledge repositories (SharePoint, Confluence) for consistency and transparency
• Act as a coordination point between Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and shared service teams
• Monitor dependencies and proactively raise risks to support cross-team and vendor alignment
• Assist with executive-level presentations and reporting materials
• Support continuous improvement activities and ensure consistency across program documentation

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in project coordination, business operations, or program support (contract experience a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Jira (backlog tracking, dashboards, reporting) and Confluence
• Experience using AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, automation assistants)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with SharePoint
• Exposure to Agile delivery methods (SAFe preferred) and experience supporting PI Planning or similar ceremonies
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related field preferred
Interview Process
• Round 1: 60-minute video interview with manager and two team members (30 minutes each)
• Round 2: 30-minute video interview with leadership
