Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Project Manager
Location: Pomona, CA/ Hybrid onsite two days per week Wed-Thurs

Duration: 18 Months Assignment
Shift/Hours: 40 hrs/week, M-F 8-5

Day to Day Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll serve as a strategic consultant, responsible for developing, prioritizing, project management, and implementing comprehensive strategies for key programs. You will provide expert guidance and actionable insights to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across Client’s Distribution assets and vegetation management programs.

Within this team, you will be involved in one or more of the following initiatives:
Advancing Distribution grid hardening programs
Updating infrastructure replacement plans
Enhancing Maintenance & Inspection activities to ensure better performance and reduce risk for Client
Delivering risk informed scoping for Vegetation Management programs

Additionally, this position will partner with peer organizations to ensure new asset strategies are approved internally as well as developing those concepts into Client’s regulatory filings, such as the General Rate Case, Wildfire Mitigation Plan, and Risk Assessment Mitigation Phase.

Required Skills:
• Ten years of experience supporting or leading significant cross-functional business projects or strategic plans.
• Strong project or program management skills and ability to effectively lead multiple priorities.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills.

Desired Skills:
• Master’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline.
• PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
• High level of demonstrated expertise in organization and follow-through.
• Experience in applying a structured problem-solving approach to improve company performance or deliver strategic value.
• Experience writing and communicating both complex material and high-level summaries for varied audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships at all levels of the company.
• Experience working in a Utility organization

Education: Bachelor's Degree
