****AIRLINE EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS****
Qualifications:
Experience (non-cumulative)
- App Dev PgM experience. +3 years of app dev program management- particularly leading large, cross-functional development and implementations
- App Dev technical experience. +5 years of overall experience in the appdev space. Should be comfortable with modern microservice architectures, enterprise architectures, DevOps principles, and standard SDLC patterns
- BA or SA work. +1 year of experience doing BA and Solution Architect-like work, but they do not need to have formally been either
- Budget & Resource Management+1 year of Budget & Resource Management - comfort overseeing and managing a budget- tracking weekly spends, making monthly forecast updates, and spotting risks to spend
Key Skills:
- Cross-functional: know how to trust individual team leads/PMs/scrum masters, while also helping them and creating accountability in situations where you aren’t the most important project on someone’s radar
- Capable of working with a number of teams that have their own methodologies, cadences, tech-stacks, and behaviors- and not getting frustrated by the differences. Needs to be able to meet both an agile micro-service team and a legacy waterfall mono-app team on their terms and get what they need from both.
- Comfort in talking with business in business speak, then pivoting to tech team speak, either in terms of tech or understanding the unique business pressures dev teams face. From experience, they know “what matters” to a business-side director and a DT-side Sr. Manager, and can ‘code switch’ between them
- Some experience as a BA and solution architect. Need to be able to help facilitate the answering questions like “what is it everyone wants” and “how can we deliver this” with some experience and a drive to get those answers
- Willingness to own small decisions and comfort in knowing what’s material and not
