Job Description
Position Title: Sr. Associate
Work Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91320
Assignment Duration: 03 Months
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, roughly 8 AM – 5 PM) - Onsite
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate is a motivated, hands-on molecular biology professional who thrives in a fast-paced lab environment and can quickly adapt to ongoing research needs.
They bring recent wet-lab experience with molecular techniques such as PCR, microbial culture, and DNA purification, along with a working knowledge of automation platforms like Hamilton, Tecan, or Bravo. A background in pharmaceutical or academic biology settings is preferred.
This individual is self-directed, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and dependable, capable of maintaining lab operations and contributing to ongoing molecular workflows during the three-month coverage period.
Master’s degree with some relevant Internship experience or bachelor’s degree with relevant lab experience and 2+ years solid work experience in Pharmaceutical industry.
Key responsibilities include:
Follow and execute molecular biology workflows (microbial cell culture, DNA purification, PCR) and operate automated laboratory robotic systems for high-throughput sample preparation and screening.
Organize and document laboratory data and experiments in electronic laboratory notebooks
Laboratory management (ordering and inventory of consumables)
Must-Have Skills
1. Molecular biology techniques – PCR, microbial culture, DNA purification.
2. Wet-lab work within last 24 months (no classroom-only experience).
3. Automation experience using platforms such as Hamilton, Tecan, Bravo, or similar.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Familiarity with liquid-handling scripting or method development.
• Basic data analysis in Excel, GraphPad Prism, or Python.
• Exposure to high-throughput workflows.
• Yeast cell handling experience.
