Job Description

Location: San Juan, PR

Summary:
Responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for financial reporting and control. Understand and apply complex concepts. Identify risks, propose recommendations and solutions to issues. Implement solutions for problem resolution. Complete a wide range of financial services and deliverables. Assess the reasonableness and relevance of financial assumptions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform account reconciliation, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting document/schedule.
  • Perform the Days Outstanding Sales and Bad Debt Reserve calculation for commercial divisions.
  • Conduct finance related special projects as required.
  • Perform and support related department reports and matrix.
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Assure availability of timely and well-presented, high-quality actual P&L, balance sheet, and sales detail results vs. current and prior year benchmarks as well as trended information.
  • Perform activities required for monthly close with limited supervision.
  • Maintain controls to ensure the integrity of assets and the compliance with GAAP.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Primarily responsible for review, approval, implementation, and renewal management of high-profile, material end-customer contract pricing.
  • Require minimal supervision outside of review of recommendations for pricing proposals or to update database maintenance as it relates to product pricing.
  • Ensures appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corp/Div financial policies and procedures, and understanding of GAAP.
  • Responsible for adherence to company accounting policies and procedures (CFMs).
  • Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives.
  • Seeks guidance on issues outside of normal scope.
  • Very organized with good interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills.
  • Operate with limited supervision on projects with significant interface across functions and groups.
  • Balance demands of a variety of customers with potentially conflicting goals.
  • Meet deadlines with minimal supervision and balance workload requirements.
  • Accountable for meeting critical project deliverables.
  • Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of Accounting or Finance related experience.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Understanding of financial accounting systems, preferably PeopleSoft.
