Position Title: AI Solution Engineer
Line of Business: Wealth Management – AI Center of Excellence
Estimated Start Date: December 1, 2025
Contract Length: 11 months with possible extension/conversion
Location: FCP, Toronto, ON – Hybrid (4 days in office)
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Must-haves:
3+ years of AI/ML solution design and delivery experience (preferably in financial services), hands-on with LLMs and agent frameworks, strong solution architecture skills, cloud/MLOps familiarity, Python/JavaScript proficiency, and ability to implement compliant, ethical, and scalable AI solutions.
 

About the Role
Are you passionate about building the next generation of AI-powered solutions in financial services? We are seeking an innovative and technically skilled AI Solution Engineer to join our Wealth Management AI Center of Excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will design, prototype, and deliver intelligent GenAI and agent-based solutions that transform advisor workflows, enhance client engagement, and drive operational efficiency across the Wealth business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with business teams to identify high-impact GenAI and agent-based use cases that enhance client experience, advisor productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Solution Design: Architect and prototype solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen).
  • Agent Development & Integration: Build and integrate autonomous agents for multi-step financial tasks (e.g., planning, onboarding, investment analysis) connected to CRM, portfolio, and data systems.
  • Technical Implementation: Deploy and maintain GenAI-powered applications, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product, compliance, and advisory teams to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory guidelines.
  • Documentation & Enablement: Create technical documentation, demos, and training materials to support solution adoption across the organization.
  • Post-Launch Support: Monitor solution performance, analyze usage data, troubleshoot model or integration issues, and coordinate escalations with engineering teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with AI/LLM advancements and agentic frameworks; share insights to shape product and engineering roadmaps.
  • Compliance & Responsible AI: Implement monitoring and guardrails to ensure ethical, transparent, and reliable AI behavior, supporting Responsible AI governance.
  • Mentorship & Enablement: Conduct workshops, training sessions, and co-creation labs to build AI literacy and enable responsible experimentation.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML solution design and delivery, ideally in financial services or a regulated domain.
  • Hands-on expertise with LLMs, agent frameworks, and AI orchestration tools (LangChain, AutoGen, Hugging Face).
  • Strong solution architecture and systems design background.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), MLOps, and secure app deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, including REST API integrations.
  • Experience with GitHub, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of AI metrics, interpretability, compliance, and ethical AI principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of financial services, wealth management, or regulatory environments is an asset.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and with rapid prototyping methodologies.
  • Passion for teaching, upskilling, and responsible AI enablement.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for AI-enabled interfaces.
  • Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT, TLS).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).
  • Exposure to prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning.
  • Hands-on with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native deployment.
  • Prior experience with SaaS or enterprise system integrations.
  • Previous banking or financial services experience.
