Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician III
Location: Redmond, WA 98052
Duration: 12-month assignment with possible extensions
Shift: 2nd Shift; 4x10 schedule (BH: Sun–Wed / FH: Wed–Sat)
Initial training on Monday–Friday schedule before transitioning to 4x10.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Electro-Mechanical Technician III to join our advanced propulsion systems operations team. This role involves running automated tests, managing high-pressure system operations, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, automated test setups, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
The Support Engineer III will play a key role in supporting ongoing propulsion hardware development and testing activities, collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and test operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute automated test sequences and monitor propulsion systems during testing to ensure data integrity and operational safety.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate test equipment related to high-pressure systems and propulsion components.
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and software issues encountered during test execution.
- Maintain and enforce safety procedures related to high-pressure systems, electrical hazards, and test environments.
- Assist in developing and improving test scripts, configurations, and system documentation.
- Perform data collection, logging, and initial analysis to support engineering reviews.
- Ensure proper configuration management of test articles, fixtures, and instrumentation.
- Participate in pre- and post-test briefings to align on goals, risks, and performance outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain testing schedules.
- Uphold cleanroom, FOD, and ESD compliance standards in all work areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and process efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with automated test systems and instrumentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of high-pressure safety processes and hardware.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly principles.
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools, precision instruments, and test software interfaces.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with propulsion or flight hardware.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Prior experience with data acquisition systems and sensor calibration.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Previous exposure to automated test environments in aerospace or R&D settings.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation practices.
