Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid, 3 days a week)
Duration: 11 + Months
Description
You’ll be working in a team of data engineers to design and develop solutions to data collection and management problems of volume, variety and velocity. You will design, build and deploy solutions for data pipelines and processing with a focus on robust scalability, monitoring and observability. Your goal is to raise the quality and productivity of the data collection and management team as a whole by building services and solutions that allow everyone to work faster.

Description
You’ll be working in a team of data engineers to design and develop solutions to data collection and management problems of volume, variety and velocity. You will design, build and deploy solutions for data pipelines and processing with a focus on robust scalability, monitoring and observability. Your goal is to raise the quality and productivity of the data collection and management team as a whole by building services and solutions that allow everyone to work faster.
Your job responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain software services required for efficient and scalable data collection processes
- Design solutions and features that balance multiple data consumers’ needs
- Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to ensure correct solution is picked
- Review code with peers to provide and get feedback on implemented solution
- Coordinate and work closely with team members and other engineering teams
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Experience designing technical solutions for complex systems
- Must have strong proficiency in Python and Object Oriented Programming skills
- High level of expertise developing applications using in Django and Django Rest Framework
- Experience designing scalable data systems and implementing ETL pipelines for high throughput applications
- Built and deployed large scale applications leveraging AWS Cloud Services
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies for managing infrastructure and code deployment
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Bonus for UI/UX development experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Python Development (technical interviews will focus on this) - and Frameworks (Django/DRF preferred)
- ETL pipelines - ideally for media content, large data sizes
- AWS S3 object storage, other AWS services (EKS a plus)
- CI/CD / DevOps in general.
- We are looking for at least 5 years experience with the above, and generally expect an educational background in computer science / SW engineering.
