Job Description
Job Title: IT Compliance & Controls Analyst (USGCI / PCI / CMMC)
Location:
- Frisco, TX (priority – strong local talent pool)
- Overland Park, KS (finance-heavy market, but IT focus needed)
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week
Duration: Contract (long-term, potential to extend/convert)
Target Start: October 12
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct annual IT controls testing across applications and servers (PCI, USGCI, CMMC, NIST 800-171, etc.).
- Perform live walkthroughs with control owners/operators, validating evidence and operational effectiveness.
- Identify, document, and escalate compliance issues while maintaining a collaborative, professional tone.
- Work within ServiceNow CMDB to track and manage control data.
- Partner with cross-functional IT and compliance teams to support audits for government, financial, and privacy regulations (USGCI, PCI, NSA, HIPAA, GBLA, COPA).
- Manage high control volumes across multiple applications (scope growing due to new acquisitions).
Must-Haves
- 5–7+ years in IT audit / compliance with strong NIST 800-171 experience.
- 3+ years working with CMMC (CCP or CCA certification highly preferred).
- Proficiency with USGCI compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on expertise with ServiceNow CMDB.
- Strong soft skills: empathy, ability to diffuse defensiveness, articulate findings in plain English.
- Proven ability to manage stress in high-volume, high-stakes environments.
Pluses
- Familiarity with Steven Covey’s Speed of Trust principles.
- Experience balancing IT + audit responsibilities in large-scale environments.
- Prior success in teams managing thousands of controls across 150+ applications.
