Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer II for product Integration, Test and Regulatory
Duration: 12 months
Location: Schaumburg, IL, 60196 (Onsite)
Work Schedule: 9-5pm, Full Time

***MUST HAVES- DONOT submit candidates that do not have proven experience with the below.
  • RF Circuit and Communication: Background with RF product test and regulatory experience (or equivalent)
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with RF test equipment, including Network and Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters, ensuring precise measurement and analysis.
Description:
  • This position is tailored for an adept Electrical Engineer for RF product Integration, Test and Regulatory with a minimum of 2 years of experience, who is ready to take on a crucial role in our engineering team. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in RF product testing and regulatory compliance.
  • The candidate will be responsible for designing automated test systems, writing automated test code, and validating that the infrastructure and networking products meet regulatory and system requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of RF systems including analog and digital modulations.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW and Python.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as TIA-102, TIA-603, EN300-113, EN300-086, UL, CE.
  • Familiarity with the use of RF ATE (Automated Test Equipment): Vector / Network, Spectrum, Signal Analyzers, etc.
  • Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.
  • Strong organizational, planning and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
Basic Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s (BS) or Master's MS) degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of RF product test and regulatory experience (or equivalent).
Main Responsibilities: What are the main responsibilities that your new hire will have?
  • Designing automated test systems, writing automated test code, and validating that the infrastructure and networking products meet regulatory and system requirements.

Key Contributions: What are the top three contributions this new hire will make to the company within their first 90 or 120 days? Complete validation testing of MSI RF kits/tanapas.

Must-Have Qualifications: What qualifications are must-haves for candidates? (e.g., X technical skills, experience with Y projects, Z certification or license)
  • Basic knowledge of RF systems including analog and digital modulations.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW and Python.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as TIA-102, TIA-603, EN300-113, EN300-086, UL, CE.
  • Familiarity with the use of RF ATE (Automated Test Equipment): Vector / Network, Spectrum, Signal Analyzers, etc.
  • Sound analytic skills and able to troubleshoot circuits quickly.
  • Works autonomously but able to work effectively with other engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent design projects.
  • Summarizes complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Good writing and communication skills.
Software Proficiency: 
  • What software should your new hire be proficient in? Familiarity with LabVIEW and Python.
Required Experience Level: 
  • (Entry-level, Mid-level, Senior-level, etc.). Mid-level to Senior-level.

Work Environment & Requirements:
  • Lifting Requirements: Will there be any lifting? If so, how many pounds? Yes, 20-25 lbs max.
  • Safety Equipment: Provide any safety equipment needed. Lab safety glasses, to be provided.

  • US Citizenship: Does the position support a customer that requires the resource to be a US citizen? Yes (Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship)
