Job Description

Title:Field Service Technician I 
Location: Reno, NV, 89506
Duration: 3 months (Temp to Perm)
Shift hours: M-F 9am to 6pm with a 1 hr lunch. • Will there be OC (on call)? Yes • Will there be shift differentials? No 

Job Summary:
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
  • Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
  • May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and entry level - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

What will the primary day-to-day responsibilities entail for this person? Must have good admin and organizational skills.
This is a Tech 1 position must have basic knowledge of printer, laptop, desktop, server, and network.
Candidate must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLA’s).
Technician will travel to each client’s location.
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs Desktop, Laptop, Server, and Printer.
Works under general supervision. Local Travel required for daily dispatch, Driver's License, Reliable Vehicle, must pass Drug Test & Background Check
TOP 2 required skills? Must have above-average/excellent customer services skills, being able to maintain those skills under pressure.
Must be able to communicate well and often
How many overall years of experience should this person have? Preferably 2 but not necessary 
Do they need any specific certifications or education? A+ certification required within 6 months of hire.
If contract to hire what is the conversion rate? $23.50 for qualified technicians.
How many miles per day will the contractor be driving? 50-100
What radius range should candidates be located from the job location? 50
