Job Description:
We are taking the next step in our US Expansion starting with US Treasury Electronification. We need great people in technology to directly support trading desk, compliance, and quant groups to build out our modernization for electronic trading. Under the wider FICC etrading strategy, we are looking to build pricing, hedging, and data analytics tools to take our business to the next level. We are looking for a lead developer experienced particularly in US Treasury trading or other high electronic trading markets. The preferred candidate with not only lead a small team of developers, but also be very involved in coding, liaising closely with the business and managing the work pipeline, with a keen eye for design and architecture to ensure solutions can scale accordingly.

The main function of a Developer (Other Specialty) is to design, develop, and implement applications using in-demand languages and technologies (e.g. - WebSphere, Informatica etc.) to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison with e-trading desks to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Lead and coordinate a team of developers and business analysts to deliver on strategic business objectives.
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems with a focus on incremental delivery and continuous value generation.
- Maintain a strong hands-on presence in the development lifecycle, contributing directly to coding, architecture, and deployment.
- Foster strong relationships with trading desk personnel, building trust and ensuring alignment between technology and business goals.
- Ensure seamless integration with market data feeds, messaging systems, and trading tools.
Must Have Requirement:
- 5+ years experience in US treasury
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with messaging and integration technologies:
- SBE (Simple Binary Encoding)
- UDP
- Protocol Buffers
- Solace (streaming message bus)
- Excel integration
- Hands-on experience with market data integration and electronic trading systems
- Exposure to trade floor environments
- Deep understanding of fixed income products:
- US Treasuries
- Bonds
- Swaps
- Solid grasp of electronic trading workflows
- Proven experience leading technical teams in a fast-paced trading environment
- Developing in a VM environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Excel-based trading tools or integration
- Familiarity with Solace specifically (as opposed to other messaging platforms)
- Knowledge of low-latency system design
- KDB+ for data analytics
- Jira & confluence

Soft Skills:
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience working directly with trading desks

- Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
- Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
- Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
- Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
- Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
- Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- 10+ years experience required
- Development experience in needed language or technology (e.g. - WebSphere, Informatica etc.)
- Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end
- Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
