Job Description
Job Title: Equipment & Tool Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Location: New Orleans, LA
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Required Experience:
- Experience in tool engineering or design engineering.
- Tooling drawings.
- Modeling in a 3D environment.
- 5 years of tool engineering experience.
Preferred/ great to see experience with software Catia and Creo.
Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g, Bachelor's) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master's +3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard for advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Location: New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities:
- Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts, and designs solutions for the Production System.
- Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation, or technology recommendations, and system integration for equipment and tooling.
- Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.
- Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, and prepares plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develops and implements workarounds and maintains the configuration of hardware, software, and documentation.
- Performs studies and makes recommendations for the disposition of assets.
