About the Role
This role focuses on youth online safety and well-being. The Public Policy Manager will lead initiatives that balance regulatory, policy, and business needs while collaborating across public affairs, legal, operations, programs, and product teams. The candidate must thrive in fast-paced environments, deliver results under tight deadlines, and advise internal and external stakeholders with pragmatic, business-focused solutions.
Responsibilities

Monitor, respond to, and anticipate youth online safety and well-being issues.

Develop frameworks to identify and mitigate online risks, and communicate strategies to stakeholders.

Engage with experts to inform policy, tools, and operational responses.

Advise Meta teams on policies, content, tools, programs, and communications.

Partner across functions to empower safe online connections and communities.

Represent Meta in meetings with policymakers and safety stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience.

Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.

Experience working cross-functionally and building consensus across teams.

Experience working with policy stakeholders and policymakers.

Ability to provide concise, business-focused advice and sound judgment.

Experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing environments.
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in political science, policy, law, computer science, or related field.

Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Proficiency in drafting policy documentation for diverse audiences.

Experience advising on AI technologies and online platforms.

Experience handling escalations and time-sensitive issues.

Knowledge of adversarial simulation, red-teaming methodologies, and AI policy.
Day-to-Day

Collaborate on youth online safety issues.

Support policy, product, and operational teams.
