Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Georgetown, KY
Duration: 11+ Months
Overtime: 30%
Travel: Domestic travel to locations within the US, might have international travel to about 10% this might be for meetings and hands-on work.


Job Description:
Reporting to Controls Manager, the primary responsibilities of this role are implementation of production networking systems, collaborating across multiple groups to meet model project milestones - while maintaining current production model, and developing technical expertise to continuously improve our team’s capabilities.
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Implementation of Controls, Applications and Health systems in North America Body Weld shops. This will include collaborating with multiple internal teams and external vendors to meet business need.
  • Project management - scheduling, budgeting and executing projects.
  • Collaboration with internal innovation teams to support project initiatives.
  • Staying up to date on industry best practices and advancements in industrial controls, applications and Health systems.
  • Authoring standards, procedures, technical memos, and manuals.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally throughout the NAMCs and external partners to solve problems and accomplish goals.
  • Presentations to peers and executive management.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in deploying industrial network-connected devices.
  • Experience in application server setup and configuration.
  • Experience in database operations
  • Experience programming PLCs.
  • Experience with data collection protocols.
  • Experience with SCADA software.
  • Experience in 1 of the following  – Industrial controls, Application development, Monitoring equipment health.
  • Ability/willingness to work weekends, holiday periods, and shutdown periods to support modifications and installation projects, up to 30%.
  • Ability to work overtime to achieve targets and complete projects on schedule, up to 30%.

What you may bring:
  • Body Weld experience.
  • Knowledgeable in multiple programming languages (e.g. Python, VB.Net, BCL, SQL).
  • Knowledgeable with data analytics software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience with Industrial controls.
  • Experience with Application development.
  • Experience with Monitoring equipment health.
