Job Description
Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Kamloops, Prince George, Fort St. John or Calgary, Alberta - Hybrid (Mon, Tue, Thu from office/ site)
Preferred Location : Field Offices : Kamloops, Prince George or Fort St. John (Open to Calgary, but will involve frequent travelling.)
Note: High Voltage experience is required and preference will be given to individual with site/ operational experience.

Job Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team.
- In this role, you will offer electrical technical support for Northwest Region Operations, focusing on the safe, reliable operation of client’s GTM electrical assets.
- If you are an Electrical Engineer with high voltage expertise, this position provides an opportunity to collaborate with other technical specialists, bringing a strong Electrical Engineering foundation and power industry experience.
- Join our team to support the operational needs and strategies to safely provide reliable natural gas supply.
- Efficiently supply technical aid to field operations and personnel in relation to relevant code, processes, standards, and guidelines.
- Support or lead technical operations accountabilities such as preparing and approving work packages for engineering modifications, audits, reliability support, investigations, process improvements, and technical reviews.
- Provide technical support in emergency response situations and efforts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for equipment and process reliability issues and evaluate risks to prioritize project funding for optimal safety, integrity, and reliability impact.
- Routinely communicate with industry peers, vendors, manufacturers, project managers and regional stakeholders fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and are a Registered Professional Engineer with immediate eligibility for registration with EGBC.
- 7+ Years of Qualified Experience in electrical engineering and power systems.
- Knowledge and in depth understanding of control systems, electrical transmission, high voltage systems, natural gas power generation, and UPS systems.
- Proven experience with large industrial power systems (substation, large electric motor drives, variable frequency drives, and associated switchgear).
- You are committed to safety and quality, with a collaborative approach valuing different perspectives and experiences to drive innovation and excellence.
