Project Overview:
About Technology Infrastructure PMO
Technology Infrastructure Project Management Office (TIPMO)
 
Client is seeking a Project Manager Professional join the Infrastructure Program Management Office (TIPMO). The Technology Infrastructure Project Management Office (TIPMO) is responsible for delivering infrastructure capabilities that align with business capabilities.
 
Experience Level: Senior Project Manager 7+
 
Contractor's Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, managing and directing multiple projects and teams simultaneously while maintaining working relationships with Client Partners (and vendors when part of the project). Project Manager will act as lead for projects and will receive general supervision from Portfolio Leads or Program Managers. The individual should be competent in all areas of project management.
 
Qualifications (must haves):
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner certification (PMI-ACP or CSM).
  • Independent self-starter with an ability drive results, overcome obstacles and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability leading multiple concurrent projects under a program/portfolio.
  • Experience leading technology projects and leading teams execute highly complex initiatives of significant scope, scale and risk successfully deliver objectives and benefits.
  • Skilful in adopting corporate project management standards (which incorporate PMI standards), IT controls, risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity working with Project tools such as
  • Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, Clarity-PPM, MS Office Suite, Power Automate.
  • Service Now: Application Portfolio Management (APM), API Inventory, IT Asset Management (ITAM), Governance & Risk Compliance (GRC) for management of IPTs (Issue Problem & Threats), Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Expertise in Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile methodologies.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills simplify the complex.
  • Adept at navigating a matrixed environment influence all levels of the organization.
  • Effectively collaborate ensuring engagement from all members of the team.
 
Nice Haves:
  • Experience with infrastructure technology solutions (Servers, Storage, Network, Database, Middleware, Mainframe).
  • Experience in a large financial services firm or highly regulated industry a plus
  • Risk: assessing Risks, implementing Controls, experience with Audits, Fed Regulator Exams, MRA/MRIA or Consent Orders.
  • Experience leading application development projects.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Support effective use of cloud Azure DevOps including but not limited to:
Create automation scripts in Power Automate reduce repetitive tasks for the organization.
Create dashboards through queries that effectively visualize data.
Train technology teams on how effectively use Azure DevOps improve delivery and reporting.
Consult with partners in the organization ensure Agile development through proper usage of Azure DevOps across engineering teams.
Encourage the adoption of DevOps, GitHub and CI/CD management and address any issues using Azure DevOps technologies.
Write documentation for AD procedures.
Design project plans in AD and model for others how successfully the same.
 
Project Management
Provide timely and effective communications on project status and health including scope, schedule, resource, and/or budget as well as articulate key risks/issues and associated impacts.
Ensure adherence TIPM project standards successfully deliver project objective in ADO, comply with IT controls, risk and regulatory requirements.
Manage risk and dependencies including mitigation and contingency planning.
Ensure clear roles and responsibilities for all project team members for deliverables & milestones.
Partner with stakeholders plan for and manage project resources, stakeholder expectations and motivate project team.
Establish and execute against project communication plans.
Facilitate discussions and working sessions across the various teams involved in the project with clear documentation of meeting notes.
