Job Title: IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst Senior
Duration: 6 months (Possible contract to hire)
Location: 100% remote - Candidates must be located in the EST Zone (preferred) or CST Zone (secondary preference)
Schedule: 8:00AM- 5:00 (Preferred), 7AM to 4PM; or 9AM-6PM EST, M-F
Position Summary:
The IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst Senior is responsible for executing procurement processes including, negotiations with vendors across all spend levels, focusing on high-complexity IT goods and services contracts. This role ensures contracts align with strategic business needs and contract requirements. Works with senior leadership to coordinate all duties associated with the acquisition of hardware, software, telecom, or service needs for IT. Functions as a Procurement advisor to provide input on business strategies, supplier selection, and technology and industry changes that may impact processes. Presents recommendations and seeks approval, from a technical and financial vantage point to the CIO, CFO, and IT Business Leaders for medium to large deals in terms. Manages multiple active engagement deals concurrently, typically involving medium to higher dollar deals and complexity.

Degrees or certifications required/Years of overall experience required:
- Minimum of 7 years related IT work experience (e.g. IT Sourcing, IT Contracts, IT Vendor Relationships).
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a business, legal, or IT related discipline (e.g., MIS, Business Management, Supply Chain/Procurement) and a minimum of 4 years of related IT work experience (e.g. IT Sourcing, IT Contracts, IT Vendor Relationships).
Top must-have skills / Candidate Requirements:
- Sourcing experience with Technology- hardware/software.
- Ability to research and maintain awareness of emerging technology terms and concepts.
- Technically Proficient: Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, One Note, Coupa.
- Ability to manage and maintain vendor relationships.
- Skilled at negotiation.
- Time management.
- Procurement project management skills.
- Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present information to internal teams.
- Ability to manage negotiations for multiple contracts concurrently.
- Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly.
Nice to have experience?
- Someone who has run Technology Request for Proposals and has worked with 5+ Vendors.
What will separate an average candidate vs a great candidate on a resume?
- Experience in Project Management.
- High level RFP experience: Vendor Management Experience and Contract Negotiation Experience and someone who is okay doing administrative type work as well.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Working with the RFP Team and IT Project Management Team (primarily on software RFPS, but could be other hardware as well).
- This contractor will be responsible for multiple projects and will work on the contract as it goes through end-to-end life cycle.
- Handle all administrative tasks (Coupa, Excel spreadsheet, Status Updates, Reporting, etc.) required.
- Responsible for multiple projects.
- Building vendor relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, business and platforms).
- Scheduling demos of software products.
- Gathering Meetings with cross functional teams for collaboration of bringing in a new product to the company.
- Building the RFP Scorecard.
- Someone who is comfortable working with stakeholders, Security, Risk, Legal.
- Help guide the team to build the technology required.
Summary:
- The proposal will be in the system, this worker will need to test the product, provide proof of content, which vendor has the best product, who is the least expensive and assist in negotiating the contract.

- Interacting with IT, Security, Risk Business; collaborating with team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Determines the optimal sourcing strategy to achieve product and technical goals, meet cost targets and mitigate technical and business risk using professional judgment.
- Manages sourcing activities from business requirement gathering to contract approvals including end to end coordination with all teams including but not limited to legal, information security, risk domain, platforms, and vendors to ensure risk mitigation and that all requirements, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
- Analyzes, structures, redline, and negotiates contracts to assure customer needs are met and that contracts are cost-effective and legally compliant.
- Coordinates cross-functional duties to execute bidding processes (e.g., Request for Proposal, Request for Information, and Request for Quote).
- Leverages best practices in strategic sourcing, identifies issues, and proposes solutions to improve processes within IT Sourcing and other areas across IT.
- Attends stakeholder meetings, captures requirements for new purchases, competitive bids, and renewals, and provide meeting minutes to record talking points and action items.
- Manages and sets customer and vendor expectations while navigating contracts through complex sourcing processes, project management and builds strategic partnerships both within and outside the company.
- Updates contract data records and maintains data quality across all procurement systems.
- Leverages technology trends, industry best practices, and regulatory standards in the sourcing process
- Consults with Vendor Managers to determine vendor performance criteria and contractual service level agreements (SLAs)
- Occasional travel required. (generally, once per quarter)
- Able to work assigned schedule subject to company's flexible schedule policies and practices.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Requires the use of typical office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, etc.) whether working from home or in office. Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation, and neck bending and turning; near vision is necessary for computer monitor use. If working in-office, individual will work in a typical office environment. If working in an Emerging Workspace, or similar working arrangement, or working from more than one location lifting of laptop equipment, files and/or personal belongings weighing 10 lbs. or less is required. High-speed internet access is required if working from a home office, at the employee's expense unless otherwise required by law.
