Position Title: Associate Scientist – Sample Management and Logistics
Work Location: USA – WA – Bothell
Duration: 12 Months, Onsite
Position Summary:
The Protein and Bioanalytical Sciences (PBS) team is committed to creating and delivering quality novel research test articles for preclinical evaluation of antibody-based cancer treatments. This position is responsible for preparing test articles, shipping materials (both domestically & internationally), and assisting with logistical duties on behalf of various Oncology Research Unit (ORU) departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Materials include - but are not limited to - Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs), proteins, toxic linker payloads, and bioanalysis study samples.

Additional duties include performing routine inventory maintenance and sample organizing activities.

This person will play a critical operational role in helping shape a new team handling and organizing outgoing and incoming research grade material for our scientists and business partners to conduct scientific research and collaboration with more efficiency.

Regular maintenance and auditing of robust inventories

Performing inventory recalling activities for request fulfilment including sample preparation including aliquoting, sample checks (i.e UV-Vis)

Timely material recording and facilitation with Shipping and Receiving documentation

Managing large reagent inventories with Freezerworks software.

Evaluating and building new lab efficiencies towards sample management and logistic processes

Regular collaboration with team members and strong communication skills
Qualification & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with 0-2 years relevant experience, or equivalent.

Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

Ability to perform routine tasks independently and commitment to high quality analysis and meticulous documentation.

Willingness to work with potent cytotoxic compounds and following safety protocols.

Hands-on laboratory experience (excluding college coursework).

Protein and/or antibody and small compound handling experience.

Practical and general knowledge and experience in a laboratory setting.

Experience with automated lab equipment and protocols is a plus.

Experience working with protein liquid chromatography or spectroscopy instrumentation.

Prior experience working with electronic lab notebooks and/or LIMS systems.
