Job Description

Position Title: Automation Engineer

Work Location: Portsmouth, NH

Assignment Duration: 05 Months

Work Schedule: Regular Office Hours

Work Arrangement: Onsite (implied)/MANAGER MAY CONSIDER REMOTE DEPENDING ON CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Position Summary:

  • Support ongoing operations through technical assistance as it relates to manufacturing and process automation systems.

  • Provide a technical resource to operations customers to ensure that instrumentation and automation systems are designed and operating to meet production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems.

  • Support resolution of equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites.

  • Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems including PI data analyses, review/troubleshooting code, etc.

  • Assist with tech transfer, projects, and process improvements as needed.

  • Perform all work safely and meet requisite training requirements.

  • Complete change request lot assessments to support lot release.

  • Review SOPs, Functional Specifications, and work instructions.

  • Remain up to date on all assigned training activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education (Required): Bachelor’s of Science in an applicable engineering field or Computer Science.

  • Work Experience: Entry level (0–4 years).

  • Languages: English, Business Fluent.

  • Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

    • Ability to think critically and logically.

  • Competencies & Behaviors: Agility, Business Acumen, Collaboration, Customer Focus, Driving Results, Leadership.

  • Quality: Adherence to cGMPs during manufacture of APIs.

  • Safety: Must know and follow job safety procedures; attend required health and safety training.

  • Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking; occasional bending/kneeling/squatting/lifting (up to 50 lbs).

  • Travel: <10%.
