Job Description

Job Title: IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst Associate
Duration: 6 months (Contract to hire)
Location: 100% remote
Schedule: 8:00-5:00 PM EST (1 hr lunch), M-F

Summary:
The IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst Associate is responsible for executing procurement processes including contract negotiation, contract analysis, and purchase order issuance. Assists with data gathering, analysis, negotiation preparation, and other tasks associated with the acquisition of hardware, software, telecom, or labor needs for IT. Coordinates procurement process with key stakeholders such as Legal, Risk Domains, IT Finance, IT platforms, and departments. May have the opportunity to manage few transactional low dollar deals.
 
Degrees or certifications required/Years of overall experience required: 
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related discipline (e.g., MIS, Business Management, Supply Chain/Procurement) OR
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience (e.g.  Sourcing, Contracts, Vendor Relationships
 
Technical skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Coupa or similar procurement platforms (preferred but not required).

  • Strong background in procurement and strategic sourcing.
  • Experience with contract review and analysis (ability to dissect and interpret complex agreements).
  • Skilled in vendor negotiations and cost optimization.
  • Comfortable with data analysis, reporting, and presentation tools.

  • Proficient in procurement administration and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • Experience partnering with HR and/or IT departments to support sourcing initiatives.

  • Capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
 
Day to day responsibilities: 
  • Support senior-level sourcing professionals by creating polished PowerPoint presentations that incorporate systematic data from procurement systems (e.g., Coupa) for stakeholder engagement.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including initiation, negotiation, execution, and renewal tracking.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to procurement processes, including documentation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates within procurement platforms.
  • Independently negotiate low-risk agreements (typically under $100K), ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between sourcing and key internal stakeholders, including Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure smooth communication and alignment across departments during sourcing and contracting processes.

Who will this worker be working with day to day?
  • Manager’s team, which includes 2 full-time employees and contractors.
  • Partner closely with the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM Team, consisting of 2 dedicated members, to align sourcing activities with vendor management strategies.
 
How will performance be measured:
  • Primary off of timelines - work must be completed in a timely manner.
  • How well do they work with the team and how well is their communication with others.
 
Interview Process:
  • 1 round of video interview.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assists in creating presentations for deals that require review and approval by senior leadership.
  • Extracts data from disparate systems to update operational reports to show status of procurement requests.
  • Attends stakeholder meetings and captures requirements for new purchases, competitive bids, and renewals.
  • Provides upfront support for incoming procurement requests that will be transitioned to other negotiators and/or competitive bid team - this includes but is not limited to funding approval, target completion dates, high level requirements.
  • Processes transactional requests such as purchase order issuance, administrative contract amendments, contract updates that do not require legal or risk reviews.
  • Updates contract data records and maintains data quality across all procurement systems
  • Works with stakeholders, risk, legal, and finance departments to align IT sourcing with technical requirements and business objectives and processes.
  • Oversees the end-to-end lifecycle in our internal systems of IT contracts, including renewals, terminations, and renegotiations. This entails at a minimum, weekly updates on statuses within our tools.
  • Occasional travel required. (generally once per quarter)
  • Able to work assigned schedule subject to company’s flexible schedule policies and practices.

  • Knowledge of Business and Information Technology functions and road maps, best practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to align local goals and direction with IT vision, strategy, and priorities.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiations, monitoring, and management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data from multiple sources to determine next steps choose the best method to display the data.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to influence others through sharing information and gaining commitment.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build successful working relationships, internal and external.
  • Organizational, facilitation and meeting management skills with the ability to capture action items and notes to inform next steps.
  • Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
 
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Requires the use of typical office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, etc.) whether working from home or in office. Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation, and neck bending and turning; near vision is necessary for computer monitor use. If working in-office, individual will work in a typical office environment. If working in an Emerging Workspace, or similar working arrangement, or working from more than one location lifting of laptop equipment, files and/or personal belongings weighing 10 lbs. or less is required. High-speed internet access is required if working from a home office, at the employee's expense unless otherwise required by law.
  • May require long periods of sitting.
  • May require prolonged repetitive use of the upper extremities.
