Job Title: Human Factors Engineer
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 8 Months
The Applied Research and Characterization team is seeking a Human Factors Researcher to drive design decision. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and other researchers to collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data that will help us make the best possible product for the customer.
You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to define project requirements, formulate appropriate research questions, and select study methods. Based on these conversations, you will design and execute user studies that combine data from quantitative measures of human performance with subjective experiences and feedback. You will analyze data from these studies, identifying key takeaways and presenting results and product direction recommendations to stakeholders.

Education and Experience:
BS in Human Factors, Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Psychology, Computer Graphics, Human-Computer interaction, or a relevant area in consumer products industry.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods and experience designing and executing human user studies
- Proficient in analyzing quantitative data and an understanding of statistical analysis
- Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly present ideas and defend results
- Proficient in engaging with human research participants, eliciting their experiences, and actively listening to their feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with sensors and/or prototype hardware
- Experience with mechanical design, biomechanics, or other engineering disciplines
- Experience with programming languages such as Matlab, Python, JMP, or R for data analysis and tool development
Education and Experience:
