Job Title: Business Analyst V
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Remote
Summary
The Business Analyst will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, supporting non-IT projects, and executing organizational responsibilities at a level above administrative but below management. This role includes oversight of project management processes such as project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budgets. The Business Analyst typically reports to a Project Manager or Director.
Key Responsibilities

Review and approve contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements.

Approve project and work breakdown structures.

Review and approve documentation of business processes.

Approve project budgets and expenditures; monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.

Identify potential budget overruns and recommend corrective solutions.

Consult with corporate offices, project managers, auditors, clients, and sub-consultant representatives regarding future proposals.

Prepare sub-agreements; review and input sub-consultant invoices to ensure contract compliance.
Required Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong knowledge of business and management principles (strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods).

Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles as needed.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with enterprise applications a plus.
Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field required.

Value Proposition: Manage assigned suppliers, drive engagement from kick-off to completion, communicate status to the program, and escalate risks as needed.
Typical Day in the Role

Reach out to suppliers and plan engagement approaches in partnership with stakeholders.

Conduct meetings with suppliers to align on program objectives.

Follow up on action items and ensure accountability throughout the engagement process.
