Job Description:
Role: DSP Hardware Architecture and Design
Must-Have Skills:

Years of Experience Required:
- 5+ years
- Bachelor’s degree
Responsibilities:
- Work with Product Hardware and Software Architecture teams to define DSP hardware architecture requirements.
- Define Tensilica DSP configuration and generate RTL.
- Work with Design and Verification teams on IP integration.
- Design optimized TIE floating-point modules and TIE operations for Tensilica DSP (area and energy optimized).
- Conduct full verification (ISS and RTL) of TIE modules and operations.
- Document usage of the developed modules and operations.
Typical Day-to-Day in the Role
- Work with architects to understand requirements.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to build DSP and integrate into hardware.
- Partner with SWE to run software on the hardware.
- Measure and improve performance.
Key Projects:
- Custom Silicon Development: Building innovative silicon hardware solutions tailored for new wearables with embedded AI/ML acceleration.
- IP & Hardware Integration: Leading projects in selecting, acquiring, and integrating cutting-edge hardware components and IP to ensure robust performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with software, research, and product teams to deliver comprehensive hardware platforms for successful wearable launches.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience in Tensilica DSP and TIE design.
- Strong knowledge of IEEE floating point specifications.
- Strong experience in floating-point RTL design.
- Minimum 5 years of RTL design experience using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Ability to write basic C codes to conduct RTL/TIE design verification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with low-power design and optimization.
- Experience with firmware, DSP coding, and optimization.
- Experience with design synthesis and timing optimization.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
