Job Description
Position Title: Senior Engineer
Work Location: Irvine CA, 92614
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Position Summary: The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. A typical manufacturing engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop repeatable and reproducible test methods on optical measurement equipment (Keyence automated inspection routines).
- Design and create inspection fixtures using SolidWorks.
- Execute test method validations (Gage R&R) with Receiving Inspection personnel.
- Create test method procedures, and train and provide engineering support to Receiving Inspection on component test methods.
- Provide feedback to R&D and Design Assurance on test method measurement output and ability to measure and validate critical features on drawings.
- Create test method validation protocol and report documents.
- Qualification & Experience:
- Proficient knowledge of test method development and validation.
- Knowledge of GD&T and ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
- Experience with Class II and/or Class III medical devices.
- Experience with vision system automated inspection routine creation.
- Experience with SolidWorks and 3D printing.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques for new product development and Minitab.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 5-7 years experience required.
