Job Title: Material Handling Technician - 2nd shift
Location:  Indianapolis, IN, 46256
Duration: 12 Months
Work hours:1:30pm to 10:00pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, and rejects unsatisfactory items as necessary.
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
• Examines, stocks, and distributes materials to inventory and manufacturing lines.
• Prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with a moderate degree of supervision.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• 1 year of work experience.
• English proficiency is required to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred qualifications:

• Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel).
• Strong interpersonal skills, proactive, and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures.
