About the Role
- We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support the development and implementation of a robust, multi-currency Global Cash Management system. The successful candidate will work closely with business, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions—particularly in the areas of liquidity, funding, and regulatory compliance (OSFI).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications
- Lead and manage workstreams focused on developing cash and liquidity management capabilities across CAD, USD, GBP, and EUR
- Support compliance with OSFI Liquidity Adequacy Requirements (LAR) and related regulatory guidelines
- Develop detailed process flows, use cases, and data mapping documents
- Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT): test case design, defect tracking, and resolution
- Conduct gap analyses on current vs. target state capabilities and provide recommendations
- Work closely with technology teams using Agile methodologies, utilizing Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel to support decision-making and track progress
- Provide support for internal audits, risk reviews, and regulatory reporting processes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within Canadian banking, preferably at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 bank
- Strong knowledge of Global Cash Management, Liquidity & Funding, or Treasury operations
- Familiarity with OSFI guidelines, particularly around liquidity and capital management (e.g., LCR, NSFR)
- Experience working with complex banking systems and multi-currency transactions
- Proven experience in UAT planning and execution
Proficiency in:
- Power BI
- Microsoft Excel (advanced functions & modeling)
- Jira & Confluence
Nice to Have
- Experience with bank transformation programs, especially related to payments, liquidity, or treasury systems
- Exposure to SWIFT, ISO 20022, or other financial messaging standards
- Knowledge of cash flow forecasting, funding models, or regulatory reporting tools
