Networks Engineer
Westlake TX or Merrimack NH (Hybrid – 2 alternate weeks onsite per month)
6 Months
Shift timings : M-F; 8:00 – 5:00 some weekend woik

Technical Skills:
  • Experiencing deploying and operating Cisco Campus Chassis and Stack switches.
Network Engineering and Troubleshooting skills:
  • Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF
  • Switched Protocols: Spanning-Tree, Router Redundancy protocols
  • Monitoring Protocols: SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry
 
The Team: The Network Core and Site Engineering (NCSE) team is responsible for the architecture, engineering, deployment, and support of the client network across the Global WAN (U.S. regional campuses, Colo’s, International backbone, Data Center Interconnects) and LAN (data center network fabric, regional campus & investor center wired/wireless).
The Role:
  • The Senior Network Engineer on the Network Core and Site Engineering team is responsible for the design, engineering, and implementation of client’ wired & wireless global network infrastructure with a focus on stability, automation, and innovation!
  • Engineer and operate LAN/WLAN/WAN environments traversing multiple platforms, supporting Enterprise Infrastructure teams on projects including engineering and implementing new and upgrading existing network hardware, code certification as well as keeping the network secure through tactical change management.
  • Additional duties include operational support and participation in on-call rotation.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Experienced in engineering and managing large scale enterprise infrastructure technologies for wired/wireless client connectivity over routed and switch infrastructure.
  • Experience operating and deploying fabric networks in Campus environments using Cisco Catalyst Center.
  • Experiencing deploying and operating Cisco Campus Chassis and Stack switches.
  • Network Engineering and Troubleshooting skills:
  • Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF
  • Switched Protocols: Spanning-Tree, Router Redundancy protocols
  • Monitoring Protocols: SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry
  • Knowledge of endpoint authentication mechanisms for Campus Wired and Wi-Fi endpoints and related protocols.
  • Knowledge of modern Wi-Fi communication protocols and standards.
  • Solid experience managing Wireless Controllers and Wireless Access Points
  • Knowledge of common network services (DNS/DHCP/HTTP/SSH)
  • Familiarity with python3, ansible playbooks and REST API.
  • Experience implementing code upgrades and hotfix on various platforms.
  • Provide technical support and assistance during on-call period and for impacting issues.
  • Familiarity with network observability and monitoring systems.
Desired Experience
  • Computer Science/Network Engineering Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent knowledge preferred.
  • Certified Wireless Network Associate (CWNA) or higher a plus.
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or equivalent knowledge desired.
