Job Description

Position Title: Manufacturing Technician I
Work Location: 600 Technology Drive, Newark, DE, 19702, USA
Assignment Duration: One year contract with potential for conversion to FTE within twelve months
Work Schedule: 2nd shift hours are 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm with potential for OT as needed
Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Position Summary:
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities in order to ensure production meets all requirements of the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment at all times.

  • Responsible for meeting quality, efficiency and safety requirements and standards.

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment and activities in order to ensure production meets all requirements of the area.

  • Consistently able to meet standard cycle time for production.

  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints required to ensure proper calibration of equipment.

  • Able to apply basic working knowledge of test equipment required within Operations area.

  • Report all non-conformances to Team Lead or Supervisor and complete NCEs as appropriate.

  • Ensure that processes are executed in a manner which supports all Quality Standards.

  • Participate in root cause investigations utilizing basic troubleshooting tools.

  • Work independently on routine tasks within scope of training.

  • Active participant in managed daily improvement process.

  • Maintain and execute 5S within work area.

  • Complete all training requirements and maintain records.

  • Conduct inventory transactions and use Oracle for work order transactions.

  • Retrieve documentation using Oracle and Agile.

  • Regular and punctual attendance.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: High School or General Education Degree (GED); Associate's Degree may be helpful

  • Experience: 0 - 1 years of experience

  • Skills Required:

    • Basic working understanding of Microsoft Office

    • Read, understand, and follow written procedures

    • Effective communication

    • Attention to detail and quality

    • Able to read, write, and understand English

  • Beneficial:

    • Experience with Oracle ERP and Agile

    • Knowledge of ESD handling

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, walk, stoop, lift 40 lbs

  • Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals (IPA, acetone), and high voltage

  • Work in a cleanroom or a dark room if needed
