Job Title - Support Engineer I Flight Support Assistant (FSA)

Job Duration - 11 Months (Posiibility of conversion or extension)
Job Description:
Typical Task Breakdown:
Lifting: The ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment, including drones, batteries, and related gear, as part of daily operational tasks. Bending and Flexibility: The role may involve bending, squatting, and other physical movements to set up, maintain, or retrieve equipment and perform operational tasks.
Standing: The candidate should be capable of standing for extended periods, particularly during drone setup, takeoff, and landing procedures.
Climbing Ladders: Depending on the specific operational requirements, the candidate may need to ascend and descend ladders or elevated platforms to access drones, perform maintenance, or conduct inspections.
Visual Acuity: Good visual acuity, including the ability to identify and respond to obstacles, hazards, or changes in flight conditions during drone operations.
As a company regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), we require all employees with safety sensitive duties to comply with FAA drug and alcohol testing regulations. This includes pre-employment drug testing, random drug and alcohol testing, and testing in the event of an accident or incident. Employees must also submit to reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing when necessary. The FAA has strict requirements for drug testing, including the types of drugs tested for, the procedures for collecting and testing samples, and the consequences for a positive test. Compliance with FAA drug testing regulations is essential for ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and the public.

Job Description:
Typical Task Breakdown:
- Prepare for the day’s operations
- Work with aircraft and flight operations equipment
- Work on operation to actually deliver package
- Installing batteries, moving aircraft to/from flight line.
- Working with operator in command to complete checklists safely
- Creating SOP’s for Processes
- Hold a current and valid FAA Part 107 MUST HAVE BEFORE EMPLOYMENT
- FAA Certificate for small unmanned aircraft operations- https://www.faa.gov/uas/commercial_operators
- 2+ years of work experience or a completed Associates degree (non specific)
- Able to lift equipment and carry out physical activity with or without reasonable accommodation (45 lbs)
- Able to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Drone or Aviation experience is desired, but not a requirement.
- Up to 25% travel - If they do travel it will be up to 2 weeks at a time to one of the locations and then returning home
- Interest in aviation
- Ability to work independently
- Strong decision-making skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
