Project Manager of Data & Systems, Leadership Development
The People Development team at client plays a critical role in ensuring our employees have the tools and learning opportunities to multiply their impact at work and continually grow themselves as individuals, managers, and leaders. To support this work, we are hiring a contract role to help manage the many systems and all of the data we use to drive our work.
This role will manage multiple projects and work with a global team to drive strategic and coordinated data systems. This person will understand the needs of a variety of stakeholders, understand the opportunities and limitations of our systems, define opportunities to improve, and provide many types of data for a wide variety of needs; they will proactively seek information they need to generate solutions and use judgment for when/how to get feedback from various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Data Management & Analysis
o Design, build and maintain integrated data systems spanning multiple sources (gSheets, Salesforce, Workday, Cornerstone, etc.)
o Manipulate and synthesize large, complex data sets to provide specific data cuts needed by a wide variety of stakeholders
o Conduct analysis on different types of data
o Train teammates and business partners on how to access self-serve data
o Run ad hoc data reports and quickly build basic charts, tables, and/or visuals
o Synthesize raw data from multiple sources to build high level summaries + reports
• Data Systems & Solutions
o Understand a variety of data systems (Salesforce, Tableau, Cornerstone, Chronus, etc.) to be able to pull data - and explain to others how we can use them (and their limitations)
o Collaborate with program managers to develop solutions for existing and emerging data needs (e.g. new program launches, migration to new systems, etc.)
o Define problems + opportunities with data + systems proactively and generate solutions
o Understand nuanced program and business needs and communicate options and implications of how we use different systems
o Define processes and systems for data management, including stakeholder guidance on how to enter, maintain and access data
o Create user-friendly documentation of data processes
• Project Management
o Develop and manage complex project plans to drive forward critical workstreams, which may or may not be related to data management
o Proactively define interdependencies, anticipate risks and provide recommended solutions
Minimum Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience with data systems, analysis, and project management, with a proven track record of operating independently and in a team environment while delivering results in an organized manner
• Experience managing evolving priorities, in addition to planning and executing special projects as needed
• Fluent in Google Suite, especially Google Sheets - advanced skills with ability to:
o read/write nested formulas (e.g. importrange, xlookup, getpivotdata, query, ifs)
o leverage conditional formatting
o build/manipulate pivot tables
o build/customize easy to digest tables and charts
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and program tools, often through self-teaching and research
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, Workday, Learning Management Systems, Chronus, other CRM and database systems
• Ability to craft strong prompts that leverage available AI (e.g. Metamate, ChatGPT, etc.)
• Ability to read/write very basic html code
• Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, etc.)
• Project Management (PMP/PMI) certification
• Experience in learning & development and/or organizational effectiveness
