Job Title: Project Manager / Internal Communications Manager
Location: Newark, NJ 07102 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months (Temp to Hire)
Job Description:
The Project Manager will support executive-level reporting and planning initiatives within the GRI Technology and Service organization. This role is pivotal in driving alignment across business functions by delivering high-impact insights, synthesizing strategic outcomes, and supporting leadership visibility through structured planning and reporting.
Executive Reporting
• Coordinate and distribute weekly updates across GRI, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionable insights.
• Assist with the coordination and synthesis of executive reporting (monthly and quarterly) collaborating with stakeholders to ensure key messages and strategic outcomes are clearly conveyed and in quantifiable terms.
• Support the development and distribution of a Quarterly Transformation Series by gathering and synthesizing major accomplishments across GRI Technology and Service.
Strategic Planning
• Contribute to the development of content and briefing materials (talking points/Q&A) for internal and external leadership engagements, including conferences and speaking events.
• Support the planning and execution of organization-wide events such as leadership offsites, site visits, and town halls, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Assist in the design and execution of initiatives that reinforce leadership visibility.
Organizational Enablement
• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the organization's SharePoint site which serves as a central hub for information and operational updates.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Communications to produce organizational-level updates, including newsletters and strategic briefings.
• Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement through structured feedback mechanisms, surveys, and interactive campaigns.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, executive reporting, internal communications, or a related role.
Skills & Competencies
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights aligned with organizational goals.
• Executive Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Collaboration & Influence: Skilled at working cross-functionally and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical Skills: Comfortable working with data to derive insights and support decision-making.
• Digital Fluency: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint; experience with collaboration platforms like Teams or Confluence is a plus.
• Content Development: Experience creating newsletters, strategic briefings, and internal communications.
• Event Planning: Ability to support planning and execution of leadership events and employee engagement initiatives.
