Location: Remote
Duration: 4+ Months with possibility of extension.
Notes:
- Open to local and non-local candidates.
- If selected candidate is outside of CA and outside of client’s service territory, then the candidate must use his/her own laptop.
- Assignment is mainly remote but there is an opportunity to be on-site but not a mandated amount of time.
- If an onsite visit to an energized field is required (not anticipate), client will provide ppe.

Job Description:
- Partner with SID and SMEs to conceptualize training design and content.
- Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.
- Complete detailed analysis of existing content and each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems.
- Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including student and facilitator presentations and guides, activities, scenarios, and assessments.
- Create instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions.
- Write clear and effective instruction and facilitator text appropriate for the target audience.
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.
- It would be beneficial if you are in the Northern California/San Francisco area but not required.
- Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation.
- Receive and incorporate feedback.
- Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.
- Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience developing instructor-led, eLearning, or virtual training in a technical environment.
- Comfortable and capable of working on a High Performing Team.
- Experience with technical writing.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
- Very strong Task Analysis knowledge and capability.
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
- Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed.
Highly Desired:
- Safety knowledge strongly desired.
- Knowledge of QuestionMark and Author-it.
- Experience developing training for utility industry.
