About the Role: Job Description:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Manager with a strong background in both community management and website maintenance to join our team.
  • In this role, you will assist with the development and upkeep of our studio websites while supporting various community management initiatives.
  • You will collaborate closely with other Community Managers on the Oculus Studios Shared Services team to foster a vibrant and engaged community.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of multiple studio static websites.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve bugs to ensure website stability and security.
  • Implement updates and patches to maintain website security and performance.
  • Develop new website features and functionality using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed.
  • Support web analytics and apply SEO principles to enhance website performance and user experience.
  • Assist in creating visual assets such as graphics, banners, and icons to boost community engagement and branding.
  • Support player communication strategies, including email newsletters, in-game messaging, and social media announcements.
  • Collaborate with game developers to produce engaging community content, including blog posts, videos, and live streams.
  • Manage and moderate community feedback channels, including forums, social media platforms, and email communications.
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in community management or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in static website development and maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Resourceful and proactive in identifying problems and creating effective solutions.
  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Google Suite tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets).
  • Minimum Years of Experience 5+
 
Must-Have Skills:
  • Web experience: Primarily HTML; WordPress and 3rd party apps not supported.
  • Asset creation: Prefer Adobe Creative Suite over other brands.
  • Community skills: Knowledge of trends, interaction, and moderation.
 
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with social media planning and social media planning tools
  • Agenda planning skills
  • Ability to assist in campaign development for games (bonus)
  • Asset creation and video production skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of studio websites to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
  • Support community management initiatives by collaborating with other Community Managers.
  • Work closely with the Oculus Studios Shared Services team to foster a cohesive and effective community environment.
 
Certain project that team is working on / what products are they supporting
  • Each game studio is responsible for a game release.
  • There is one release per year, with multiple releases planned for 2026.

  • The team collaborates closely with multiple key groups, including the Store Operations team, Marketing, and Communications. Their primary focus is supporting game studios, each of which is responsible for delivering one game release per year. For 2026, several game releases are planned, requiring coordinated efforts across these teams.
 
The team’s work involves:
  • Partnering with Store Operations to ensure smooth game launch logistics and support.
  • Collaborating with Marketing to assist in campaign development, social media planning, and promotional activities.
  • Working alongside Communications to create engaging community content and manage player interactions.
  • This cross-functional collaboration ensures a cohesive approach to game releases, combining operational efficiency, marketing impact, and strong community engagement.
