About the Role
Are you a creative, self-motivated, and highly experienced Events Director ready to make a significant impact? The client is looking for a dynamic leader to join our Marketing team and fully own a dedicated portfolio of global events.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for the strategic planning and flawless execution of meetings, conference sponsorships, and programs. You'll ensure every event aligns with our company values, amplifies our brand, fosters meaningful connections, and drives measurable ROI through exceptional experiential marketing. This position reports directly to the Head of Global Event Management.

What You'll Do
  • Lead End-to-End Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of diverse events, including internal meetings, industry conferences, tradeshows, and client hospitality. This spans all formats (in-person and virtual), budgets (large and small), and scales—from regional gatherings to major national and global initiatives.
  • Drive Event Marketing & Logistics: Own event marketing timelines, project managing deliverables like collateral, invitations, giveaway procurement, room blocks, and lead generation materials.
  • Measure & Optimize: Report on tradeshow and event ROI, focusing on continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.
  • Forge Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (Corporate Communications/PR, Sales, Marketing, Corporate Travel) and external vendors (booth management, on-site planners, tradeshow organizers) to negotiate optimal terms and enhance event experiences.
  • Elevate Brand Merchandising: Strategically manage the Company Store's premium item experience, working with vendors and in-house design to enhance offerings and production.
  • Leverage Event Technology: Proficiently manage event technology builds for pages, registrations, and virtual platforms (Zoom, ON24, Teams). Track metrics and provide comprehensive reporting.
  • Innovate & Improve: Partner with the Global Events Management team to continuously refine in-person and virtual event strategies, developing differentiating ways to engage audiences pre, during, and post-event.

What You'll Bring
  • 8-10 years of progressive event management experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proven ability to set goals, define success metrics, and elevate an event portfolio.
  • Polished written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience working with external trade and marketing vendors.
  • A knack for optimizing departmental processes and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to refine customer experience strategies.
  • A natural ability to unite and inspire diverse stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues towards outstanding results.
  • Familiarity with attendee management systems, apps, and various event technologies.
  • A strong sense of hospitality and a genuine passion for service.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Confidence to lead and collaborate effectively with senior management teams.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, maintain urgency, and commit to success.
  • Eagerness to master new technical and business knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, including non-traditional hours and potential international travel.

Deal Breakers:
  • Candidate must have a consistent work history in their resume, no job hoppers.
  • Candidate must be able to work hybrid work schedule, no exceptions.
