Technical Program Manager II

TechnicaThe Technical Program Manager will oversee a variety of business-critical projects in the AI Research space, with a particular focus on facilitating the review and approval processes essential for initiating and successfully shipping research projects. This role demands operational excellence, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate through ambiguity. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating activities across multiple projects, ensuring timely progress and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of multiple project reviews, monitoring daily progress and proactively resolving any blocking issues to ensure smooth project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with requesters and reviewers to clarify requirements and gather necessary information to advance project reviews, focusing on unblocking critical review and approval stages.
- Manage and track action items and next steps for each project, ensuring all milestones are met and projects remain on schedule.
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, providing updates, highlights, and addressing any concerns, with a focus on maintaining transparency in the review and approval processes.
- Deliver weekly reports on project status, achievements, and challenges, with detailed insights into the review and approval stages.
- Coordinate with privacy stakeholders to align and document best practices for approvals.
- Manage project risks effectively, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation as needed, with a keen focus on potential blockers in the review and approval processes.
- Researching, cataloging, and annotating AI Research assets, requiring high attention to detail and organizational skills. Utilizing Google Sheets/Excel for data exploration and analysis to inform project decisions and optimize workflows.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI research landscape and tools, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple projects.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others to accomplish goals.
- Proficiency in Google Apps, Microsoft Office, and web browsers, with excellence in using Google Sheets/Excel for data annotation, exploration and analysis.
- Prior experience working with task/project management tool
Must-Have Skills
- Strong communication skills, as this person will be expected to work with a big cross functional team

- Detail oriented, skilled at tracking multiple things across different orgs
Nice-to-have Skills
- Experience with data analysis and running ad hoc queries, familiarity with AI research tools and landscape.
- Experience in Privacy, (Generative) AI, Data Analytics, or Risk Management is beneficial but not required.
- Big tech experience, ideally in AI privacy
Years of overall experience required- 5+ years of experience
Degrees/certifications required - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science,
computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
PMI or PMP certification preferred.
