Job Title- Material Control Technician I
Location- Acton, MA 01720
Duration- 3 months with possible extensions 
Shift: third shift 10:00pm 6:30am - Monday through Friday
Note: Business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift start and end times.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview: 
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the Material Control Room Operation. The team member will perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the Kitting Room. The Material Control Technician I is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate issuance and delivery of materials required for production and ensuring the Material Control Room has the proper workflow to meet the demand. Applicable standard operating procedures and following through on all material movements to guarantee they are handled in accordance with applicable FDA and cGMP procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate systems and equipment such as computers, software, and printers as trained and specified.
  • Delivers raw materials to various cells in the Cleanroom.
  • Meet or exceed production efficiency standards on a regular basis which includes adequate replenishment of the Material Control Room, prompt response to radio request and adequate cleanroom replenishment.
  • Accurate and timely ERP System SAP transaction of any material movement performed. Maintains work areas and equipment in a functioning, clean and orderly condition.
  • Safely operates a forklift, hand truck or other material transport equipment must be open to be trained.
  • Performance of material preissuance tasks like Silicone Mixture preparation, siliconizing Raw material as needed.
  • Proper End of Shift cleanup which includes but not limited to, emptying all trash bins, boxing of returned empty trays, cleaning of workstations and work areas, removing empty pallets from the Kitting Material Control Room and placing bad pallets appropriately.
  • Detailed communication of End of Shift report to incoming shift.
  • Usage of manual pallet jacks for pallet movement. Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks.
  • Assist other departments when needed. Including but not limited to the warehouse Shipping and Receiving. Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED andor equivalent combination of education or experience.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing operator role with working knowledge of a warehouse environment.
  • No previous Material Handling experience required.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience with Microsoft DynamicsAX Software, SAP, or ability to learn SAP Materials Management module.
  • Proficient in business environment software applications MS Office
  • Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing Support environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail. Must be able to effectively prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
  • Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a selfstarter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Stand up and sitdown forklift operation experience is a plus. Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Medical device industry experience a plus.
  • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, work instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
  • Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30 - 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.
  • Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
