Job Title: Instructional Designer III
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension up to 2 years) 
Location: Seattle, WA; be able to work in the Seattle office at least 1 day per week
Some travel may be required (no more than 25%), US-based.

Job Description
The Client is looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Instructional Designer III to join our Learning and Enablement team. This role focuses on leadership development, with responsibilities including the creation of enablement content for live, virtual, and eLearning formats, as well as providing coordination, facilitation, and development support for multiple leadership programs. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Leadership Development within the Learning and Enablement team.
 
Key Responsibilities
Project Management and Coordination
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables align with business and learning objectives.
  • Provide program coordination support to in-person and virtual learning experiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent skills with the Google Workspace.
Design & Development
  • Create detailed design documents that outline the structure, content flow, and multimedia elements required to accomplish the defined instructional objectives.
  • Convert designs into fully developed learning materials, including e-learning modules, facilitation guides, assessments, and workshop slide decks.
  • Be creative in your approach to design and development to create engaging and interactive content to drive the application of the learning.
Content Creation & Asset Management
  • Write and design course content that is creative, clear, concise, and engaging for a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to collect required content.
  • Develop visually compelling slide decks for workshops and presentations using Google Slides.
Facilitation
  • Deliver engaging workshops and engage multiple audiences to deliver impactful and meaningful learning.
  • Partner with Lead Program Managers and Facilitators to iterate on content and workshop design.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Leadership or a related field.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to facilitate learning content, especially leadership development programs in a high-tech organization.
  • Proven experience developing e-learning content, facilitation guides, and slide decks for instructor-led or virtual workshops.
  • Graphic design proficiency a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools for writing and rapid development, a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and providing program coordination support.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Google Slides and graphic design tools like Canva or Photoshop.
  • Experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 a plus.
Instructional Design
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and design thinking.
  • Experience with storyboarding, course development, and assessment design (Learning Transfer Evaluation Method - Thalheimer).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG) and inclusive learning design principles.
