Position Summary:

• Category Manager for technology categories including software, information security (infosec), digital workplace, compute, and storage.
• This role is expected to develop and grow relationships with technology business partners to understand objectives, key priorities, and opportunities.
• The role will also lead large, complex negotiations with suppliers while managing an internal, matrixed deal team.

 Responsibilities:

• Understand spend profiles, leverage benchmarking, and prepare business cases and presentations for technology leaders.
• Partner with technology leaders and the Source-to-Contract team to develop sourcing strategies and plans.
• Negotiate key deals and contracts and complete supplier assessments and selections through RFx activities or targeted negotiations.
• Lead through strategic thinking, financial analytics, and an external marketplace focus.
• Partner closely with business units to influence and help drive key strategic business decisions.
• Bring external insights, innovative ideas, and an enterprise view on market trends, the competitive landscape, value generation, and strategic sourcing opportunities.

 Required Skills:

• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, balanced with a proven track record of delivering tangible results in complex, global, and matrixed work environments.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across levels with internal and external partners (including senior executives) globally.
• Proven ability to engage and maintain senior stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated success using data analysis to develop insights and recommendations, solve business challenges, and improve customer experience and bottom-line results.
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to collaborating and partnering with customers, colleagues, and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality output with limited resources.
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, and at times unstructured environment, maintaining flexibility to meet the changing needs of customers, business units, and the organization.
• Extensive technology category management and/or sourcing experience (particularly with large software deals).
