Title: Data Steward
Duration: 12 months
Location: Raleigh NC / Philadelphia PA (2 days a week)

Description:
This role will be instrumental in configuring and maintaining our enterprise data catalog using the Collibra platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging processes, and will collaborate closely with data stewards, ingestion teams, and business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Configure and maintain data sets, domains, and attributes within the Collibra Data Catalog. Support the ingestion and automation of metadata from platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Power BI. Collaborate with ingestion and ADM teams to ensure metadata completeness and accuracy.
• Define and enforce cataloging standards, including naming conventions and certification workflows. Assist in the development and rollout of automated processes for metadata population and lineage tracking.
• Partner with business and technical stewards to ensure proper ownership and stewardship assignments. Monitor catalog usage and provide support and training to end users.

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. 
• Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Education/Experience: 

• 2+ years of Collibra or similar data governance platforms.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data lineage and data cataloging principles.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI. 
• Experience with workflows, asset modeling, and integrations with metadata sources.
