Title: Junior Financial Analyst
Duration: 12 months
Working hours: 9 AM - 5 PM EST
Working Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 1-2x per week in office)
 
Role Mandate:

• This group focuses on business enablement and management of portfolio, workforce, and supplier contracts.
• The team provides horizontal support function as well as reporting.

Team Structure:

• The team is very collaborative and does not work in a silo.
• The team is understanding and relaxed in terms of hierarchy.
• There will be 5-6 people in the immediate group under the Hiring Manager, and 15 people in total on the team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure that reports and data pulls are complete, timely, and accurate.
• Collaborate with various teams to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to both data and visualizations.
• Support the development and execution of strategic analytics and reporting initiatives.
• Document and maintain operational procedures, design solutions, and processes related to analytics and reporting.
• Work independently on a variety of complex tasks.
• Manage inquiries from teams regarding reports.
• Produce standard month-end and mid-month portfolio reports, dashboards, and analyses, highlighting key problem areas.
• Extract data from relevant sources.
• Pull reports from Clarity and other systems.
• Integrate reports into Power BI dashboards.

Education:

• Holds a post-secondary education in a related field, such as business or mathematics.

• Possesses 1–2 years of experience working in an office environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates independence, accountability, and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Highly attentive to deadlines and time management.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks or systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experienced in using Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Possesses experience working in the financial industry.
