Job Description:
  • Design Program Managers at client are connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the various aspects of the product teams, you will enable teams to focus their time on designing, building and shipping products. You will improve team communication, collaboration and remove roadblocks. Finally, you'll utilize a full range of organizational and demonstrated track experience in communicating with clients and customers in order to drive positive impact. You will help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to grow team health, subject-matter knowledge, and team impact, and you'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together.
  • The Client Team is looking for a Design Program Manager to support design operations for the Spaces Creation Design team, a fast paced, high intensity, high visibility and high impact team. The Spaces Pillar creates dynamic and interconnected spaces that elevate social experiences. As part of the Spaces Creation Pillar, we’re building, and empowering creators to build these spaces.
  • The ideal candidate has experience working with product teams from road mapping to delivery, with a minimum of 5 years in project or program management. They should be self-motivated and able to operate independently, with a track record of creating impactful programs that drive change. Additionally, they should have experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions with measurable results.
 
Must-Have Skills:
  1. Strong knowledge of G-suite.
  2. CW must have excellent communication skills. They will facilitate planning, road mapping and strategy. They will also facilitate meetings.
Experience with escalations, conflict resolutions and assessing tradeoffs of deadlines.
Ensuring alignment – is everyone on the same page?
  1. Product development and strategy as well as product design operations. The selected candidate must understand the product development process.
 
Nice-to-have Skills:        
  1. Knowledge in Figma.
  2. AR/VR or MR.
  3. Being able to technically communicate with engineers.
 
Years of Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in any type of software product management role. (Game design, tools design or meta verse)
 
Expectations:
  • Drive product initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, and many moving parts.
  • Prioritize, assess tradeoffs, propose clear solutions and communicate effectively.
  • Define and manage initiatives that improve product team efficiency and impact.
  • Facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives and establish clear next steps and owners while resolving blocks that impede progress.
  • Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for the larger team(s).
  • Support the management team with effective and appropriate team communication, proactive problem solving, information distribution.
  • Define and measure impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Collaborate and establish relationships cross-functionally with product management, engineering, product design, user research and content strategy to ensure a smooth product development process.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working with product teams or programs from road mapping through delivery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or program management.
  • Track record of operating under your own initiative with little oversight.
  • Experience creating appropriate programs that drive impactful change.
  • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions with measurable results.
 
Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:          
  • CW will have specific and detailed expectations based on the project they will be working on.

How will performance be measured?    
  • Feedback will be mainly team feedback. The manager the CW will report to will reach out to 2-4 people they will be working with during the assignment.
