Position Title: SOX Program Analyst
Duration: 12 months (Possibility of Extension)
Working Location: Austin, TX (2-3 days onsite)
Role Mandate:
The client is seeking a SOX Program Analyst to build and maintain a thoughtful, effective SOX program. Reporting to the SOX Program Manager you will serve as the primary SOX point of contact within our Accounting team.

Role Mandate:
The client is seeking a SOX Program Analyst to build and maintain a thoughtful, effective SOX program. Reporting to the SOX Program Manager you will serve as the primary SOX point of contact within our Accounting team.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Gain a thorough understanding of the client's control environment relevant to the Company’s financial reporting to fully understand material risks in the process and the intricacies of the SOX controls that mitigate those risks
- Assist in building a risk-based approach SOX program for the client.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the audit and facilitate timely delivery of request from auditors
- Proactively communicate and take actions with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist as 2nd line in control auditing for both IT & business process controls
- Assist in monitoring SOX program activities and progress - engaging all lines of business internally and working with external auditors by taking a risk-based approach to effectively and efficiently complete the SOX program
- Assist SOX team with to compile presentations to audit committee and Company executives
- Assist SOX management team to upskill our workforce through continuous learning, annual SOX training, and communication of regulatory changes and technology advancements
- Support the control deficiency analysis and remediation process
- 2+ years of in-depth SOX controls experience working in public accounting (preferably Big 4) and/or at a public Company
- PCAOB audit experience
- Working knowledge of IT controls (ITGC and ITAC) and how they work in the a SOX controls environment
- Passion for continuous improvement of processes
- Take charge of organizational, interpersonal, communication, project management with internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively communicate with executive management and present to various stakeholders
- Highly motivated, independent thinker and problem-solver with scalable detail orientation
- Certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) a plus but not required
SOX Audit Tools & Systems:
- Strong experience with AuditBoard (core tool)
- Proficient in Google Workspace
- Working knowledge of Jira (not expert-level)
- Audit work often done outside core systems
- Do not use SAP/Oracle – mostly homegrown systems
