Job Description

Title: Data Entry Representative
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Bloomfield, CT 06152 (Hybrid)
Working hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm for the initial time while being trained – for the first 2-4 weeks, then can discuss more flexible hours
Note: Initial training will be onsite for 1–2 weeks, followed by a hybrid scheduleMonday–Wednesday onsite, Thursday–Friday remote.
 
Duties:
  • This position is responsible for entering medical claim data for a Coordination of Benefits (COB) Competitive Intelligence Team.
    Knowledge with how to read and interpret medical claims, medical claim forms and Explanation of Benefits is required. Aka - Medical Claim Analyst.
    Knowledge and understanding of medical coding is a plus.
    The incumbent will have the ability to positively impact the accuracy and efficiency of the data entered.
    Candidate selected for this role will work closely with the COB Analysts, IT support, and management to communicate completed data entry projects daily as well as correct any errors timely and efficiently.
 Responsibilities:
  • Complete data entry of medical claim information in our Professional and Facility Access Databases on a timely basis, meeting or exceeding assigned delivery dates.
  • Utilize all sites, systems, and tools needed to effectively complete projects as needed such as: Access, IView, Xnet, Reference Documents, SharePoint, Iris, and Customer Support Center, Outlook and Excel.
  • Maintain monthly target productivity metrics for both Professional and Facility Coordination of Benefits manual data entry (including electronic CBOR records).
  • Perform quality reviews of all manual and electronic records based on standard protocols and make corrections as needed.
  • Maintain target accuracy rates.
  • Be responsive to audit feedback from Analysts, or management, completing all corrections on a timely basis.
  • Participate in team discussions and contribute to the development and testing of projects to improve COB data mining process.
  • Support COB analysis process improvements as needed.
  • Behave ethically and in compliance with applicable laws when conducting Client business by ensuring participating in mandatory training courses and adhering to Client's Code of Ethics and related policies.
  • Work effectively with peers, Analysts and management to deliver quality COB results.
  • Be responsive to their inquiries.
 Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
Must-Haves:
  • Experience reading and interpreting medical claims, claim forms, and EOBs
  • Understanding of Coordination of Benefits (COB)
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • 2+ years of experience in claims, medical coding, or health insurance (preferred)
