Job Description
Position Title: Commercial Project Manager
Work Location: Remote
Assignment Duration: 12 Months (Extension possible)
Work Arrangement: Remote with travel as needed (San Diego/Malborough as needed)
Position Summary:

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities and the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
-
Collaborate with internal and external project team members to plan and drive comprehensive project plans, define project scope, set timelines and milestones.

Coordinate team meetings, agendas, maintain record of meeting notes, action items and next steps.

Ensure action items are resolved and documented.

Interacts with team members, including director and senior-level staff, in driving the completion of deliverables.

Monitor performance and track progress of key initiatives and milestones

Escalation of project delays, identification of mitigations of project delays
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-
Communication with internal team members and external customers
-
Collaborate with national cross-functional team members including sales, marketing, field service, project engineering, research & development, program management and others as needed.

Communicates status of project deliverables to core team leader, team members, and stakeholders.

Generate and share monthly update reports
Risk Management:
-
Track potential project risks, capture mitigation strategies and assess the project impact.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
-
BS Degree in Science or Engineering
-
Project Management coursework or certification a plus
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) credential a plus
Experience:
-
7-10 years of experience with at least 3 years in project management
Skills:
-
Knowledge of aspects of project management (timelines, project plans, risk management)

Proficient in MS Project, Smartsheets, PowerPoint, and Visio
-
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, spreadsheets, and word processing in a Microsoft Windows environment
-
Excellent organization skills, and attention to detail
-
Ability to interact effectively with personnel from top to bottom of the organization, internal team members and external customers with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds

Good communication and problem-solving ability
