Title: Project Manager - Technical I (Technical Project Manager, AI)
Location: Plainsboro, NJ 08536 (Hybrid)
Duration: 5 Months with possible extension

Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Technical Project Manager to establish and manage the program structure and governance for 3-5 concurrent AI initiatives. Looking for a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of product management and AI development processes to drive these critical projects forward.
Responsibilities:
• Program Structure & Governance: Design, implement, and maintain a robust program structure and governance framework for several AI projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and product strategy. This includes defining processes for project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and sponsors to define project scopes, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Drive project execution, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and resolving impediments to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Leadership Communication: Provide regular updates to the AI Product Management Lead, key collaborators, and cross-functional teams. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal teams (e.g., IT, legal, compliance) and external vendors.
• Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors involved in the development of AI solutions, managing their scope, deliverables, and ensuring their integration into the overall program.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies. Develop contingency plans and escalate issues as necessary to ensure successful project out-comes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes. Generate regular reports on program progress, key metrics, and areas for improvement.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the AI program.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• PMP certification required
• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, ideally with a focus on AI/ML or data science projects
• Demonstrated ability to establish and manage complex program structures and governance models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, development methodologies, and common challenges in deploying AI solutions.
• Experience interacting with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a product-led organization.
